Free run juice only, 100% barrel fermentation, 11 months French oak barriques (25% new, 75% 1st and 2nd use) with no lees stirring and no malolactic fermentation.

This is a leaner style from the famous Gin Gin clone that is synonymous with West Australian chardonnay. The very fast and snappy early vintage means that this has already had nearly11 months in oak. All barrel fermented but there has been no lees stirring or malolactic fermentation, so the crisp fine acidity has been maintained. It’s clean and pure with a peachy melon mouthfeel. It has a generosity in the mouth with the oak lightly applied making for a fruit driven style that’s ideal for drinking over the next three years.

Shanteh Wong - Wine Pilot

Just cut fresh pineapple, white peaches and pomelo, bitter almond and an almost aloe vera freshness. This wine showcases the purity of Margaret River fruit and without the interference of unnecessary work in the winery. I can see the inspiration. The clever use of French oak adds some outline and structure. A quiet wine but no less delicious. Would happily drinkthis throughout the week and on the weekend. Great to see these styles still shining bright. Delightful.
