This is a leaner style from the famous Gin Gin clone that is synonymous with West Australian chardonnay. The very fast and snappy early vintage means that this has already had nearly11 months in oak. All barrel fermented but there has been no lees stirring or malolactic fermentation, so the crisp fine acidity has been maintained. It’s clean and pure with a peachy melon mouthfeel. It has a generosity in the mouth with the oak lightly applied making for a fruit driven style that’s ideal for drinking over the next three years.

Huon Hooke - The Real Review

Light yellow hue. Passionfruit and grapefruit aromas, bright chardonnay fruit, with a very Margaret River overtone. Possibly it’s due to the Gingin clone Yeastiness evident on the palate, the finish dry, firm and nicely clean. Acidity is jazzy, even a little tangy. A frisky, lively wine with Chablis-like acidity and line.
