The 3 Wines Men

If you’re having an identity crisis, you should look to a wine, forged in friendship to guide you. The @clandestinevineyards 2020 Chardonnay will be your guide. While I had to do a double take and check the varietal on first taste, my brain then kicked into gear that I was in the presence of something a little different and all round delicious. This is a Chardonnay made by a genius to become part of your wine lock.Making a standard Chardonnay just to sit in the shelf amongst the other 1,000s of Margaret River Chardonnay’s is still going to work, but when you make it in the styles of world class Chablis, then you’re on the top shelf and on everyone’s lips. The palate is brought alive with citrus flavours but without the sharp acidic bite; fresh stone fruit and oak that arrives on time and leaves before being asked (like a good friend). This is one of the most interesting wines we’ve tried for a while, from a place we though we knew. Outstanding.

Shanteh Wong - Wine Pilot

Just cut fresh pineapple, white peaches and pomelo, bitter almond and an almost aloe vera freshness. This wine showcases the purity of Margaret River fruit and without the interference of unnecessary work in the winery. I can see the inspiration. The clever use of French oak adds some outline and structure. A quiet wine but no less delicious. Would happily drinkthis throughout the week and on the weekend. Great to see these styles still shining bright. Delightful.

This @clandestinevineyards Chardonnay is a good example of why so many from WA are finding their way into wine glasses in other states of Australia. A truly delicious Chardonnay! Click the link in my bio if you’d like to know more. Cheers!!
